On page 264 in Richard Unger's Life Prints book there is the third story about Jasper whose life purpose says Can you bring your capacity to connect with others directly into your own love life.
Jasper says he loves his wife and children, so I can't work out what is means.

I think the connection means intimately. A person can love their partner very much, but they may not fully understand them or connect in a warm and loving way, like they are unable to show their love by touch or even words.
