Count ridges in Simple and tented arch

Can any one explain me How to count ridges in Simple and tented arch to understand its strength?
I have also found that people up to 7 ridges in loop show more traits of tented Arch in respect of related aspect of personality. what exactly is the border line for tented arch which looks like loop?

Hello Archana, I don't think the count comes in picture. Its the shape and formation.
Usually the count of the ridges is used for assess the distance of trident on the mount as being nearer or far. And thats done with a range of <7(nearer) to > 14.(far);

Do you have any reference where you read the things you have quoted?

Hello Archana kakade,

In simple arches the ridge count is always zero. And in the tented arch the ridge count is nearly always zero.

So there is not much to rigde count in both patterns.
